Before Your Class
After registering, you'll receive an email with instructions to access your online course. Complete the online portion at your own pace before your scheduled in-person session. The online component includes video lessons, reading materials, and a knowledge assessment. Most students complete it in 1-2 hours.
During Your Skills Session
Arrive at our Frisco location 5-10 minutes early. You'll practice CPR techniques on adult, child, and infant mannequins, learn to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator), and practice choking relief techniques. Our instructor will guide you through each skill and provide feedback to ensure you're confident in your abilities.
After Certification
Upon successful completion, you'll receive your certification card immediately. Digital certification is also available and can be verified online. Your certification is valid for 2 years, and we'll send you a reminder when it's time to recertify.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who needs CPR certification?
CPR certification is required for healthcare professionals, childcare workers, teachers, coaches, lifeguards, and many other occupations. It's also highly recommended for parents, caregivers, and anyone who wants to be prepared to help in an emergency. In Summit County, ski patrol members, outdoor guides, and fitness instructors often need current certification.
How long is CPR certification valid?
Both AHSI and AHA certifications are valid for 2 years from the date of completion. We recommend scheduling your recertification a few weeks before your current certification expires to ensure continuous coverage.
What's the difference between BLS and CPR?
BLS (Basic Life Support) is an advanced certification primarily for healthcare providers. It includes CPR for adults, children, and infants, plus additional skills like bag-mask ventilation and team-based resuscitation. Standard CPR certification covers the essential life-saving techniques needed by the general public and many workplace requirements.
Do I need to bring anything to my skills session?
Just bring yourself and wear comfortable clothing that allows you to kneel on the floor. We provide all training equipment including mannequins and AED trainers. Make sure you've completed the online portion before arriving.
What if I need to reschedule?
We understand that plans change. Contact us at least 48 hours before your scheduled session to reschedule at no additional charge. Last-minute cancellations may be subject to a rescheduling fee.
Do you offer group or corporate training?
Yes! We offer on-site training for groups of 5 or more at your location throughout Summit County. Group training is perfect for businesses, schools, sports teams, and organizations. Contact us for custom scheduling and group rates.
